About 2iC

Leaders in digital interoperability in the battlespace

What we do

2iC’s unique software layer liberates human capability in the battlespace by digitally automating the exchange of mission-critical and actionable information between commanders, operators and equipment across land, sea and air.

Designed for the very leanest of digital conditions in the modern battlespace, 2iC’s solution delivers two-way communications in environments with low-power computing, low-bandwidth connections, physical landscape challenges or interrupted communications. It effectively delivers the benefits of IoT (the Internet of Things) when there is no viable internet.

The 2iC interoperability software layer sits discreetly on any number of military platforms, systems or devices (trusted and untrusted). In the theatre of operations, the 2iC workflows also offer true battlespace agility as they can be adapted quickly to respond to operational, personnel and equipment changes.

Based on open standards and agnostic of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or prime contractor, the 2iC solution, including 2iC’s unique set of transformational tools, allows the rapid integration and automatic exchange of information between new and legacy systems.

What we are

2iC is the proud inventor of the Lean Services Architecture, a modular and open architecture standard designed for the battlespace. The UK Ministry of Defence tested and then published the Lean Services Architecture as an open standard in 2014.

2iC was co-founded by Graham Booth (CEO) and Nick Peach (CTO) in 2010. Today, the 2iC team comprises a blend of software and interoperability experts and includes senior ex-military personnel among its ranks.

2iC digital interoperability software is deployed by major defence forces across the globe, as well as in digital solutions for healthcare and other sectors.

Constantly innnovating to meet Systems Integrator and OEM needs

The 2iC business model is centred on continual innovation, utilising our expertise to deliver software that systems integrators and OEMs can quickly exploit to directly address their core issues, such as:

  • The ability to adapt quickly and easily as requirements evolve and needs change.
  • Reducing the time, effort and cost required to get multiple pieces of software and equipment working together over radio links or low bandwidth networks, for example.
  • Managing the critical risk and cost of software and systems integration in high pressure/rapid response situations.

CONNECT FOR EFFECT

In defence, and in other critical applications too, 2iC software is the leading software solution for the effective connection and digital interoperability of assets from multiple platforms and vendors.
